Interesting New York Times article on improving primary and secondary school concept development and retention via perceptual learning. I feel very strongly that to improve education in a significant way, we need to pursue such novel approaches to teaching—and evaluate them scientifically to prove efficacy. (The article links to multiple published studies, which is great.)
